Answer the following questions as if you were giving advice to a student teacher.
How would I introduce a
discussion of my approach
to instructional design?



I would use visual aide as well as group discussions as an approach to introduce the unit to other teachers
What are my resources
for designing units and
lessons?



The standards, our maps and the district timelines, daily classroom schedule. Also other teachers and the IT staff.
What do I generally
do first?



Take a deep pause and think about how my students will learn the concept and how to make the learrning real to their everyday life and to make learning fun.
How do I interact with
the standards?



We have maps for reading and math which are standards bas and worded in student friendly terms.
What are my constraints
and how do I respond
to them?



Paceing the lessons to teach to the standards
How do I approach
student assessment?



Across our grade level we have common formal assessments(CFA)
How do I approach
post-assessment?



CFA for pre and post test.
How do I approach
self-assessment?



I have to look at the re-action of the student to the material, test scores and the confidence level of the student and the confort level of the learning enviorment.

like to learn more about
and/or become better at?



How I present a lesson to students and using the data from pre and post test.
What final advice would I
give about my approach to
instructional design?



Have Fun and listen to the voice of my students and the advice of others. Strive to be aware of all learning styles of your students and learn from them. Always keep in mind that learning should be FUN and RELAX.
